Tool Description

Poll Everywhere is a web-based audience response system that can optionally integrate with presentation software such as PowerPoint. Participants can respond using their mobile browser, web browser, or via SMS. The platform enables seamless interaction through live polling, surveys, Q&A sessions, word clouds, and more. 

How to Obtain a Presenter Role

The Presenter Role in Poll Everywhere allows you to create and present activities, share activities with teams within the Poll Everywhere tool, and run reports on shared activities. This role can be used outside of the Canvas Learning Management System, and instructors and staff are eligible to have Presenter Role access within Poll Everywhere.

If you do not have a teaching role at TAMU, but are central staff at the university:

1. Submit an email to helpdesk@tamu.edu with the following information:
   1. Subject line – Poll Everywhere Presenter Account – Escalate to LMS Tier II 
   2. Body – include your first/last name, UIN, email address, department, and business justification for use
2. Once it is approved, you will receive: 
   1. An email from the LMS Support team describing the next steps.
   2. An invitation email from Poll Everywhere to claim your Presenter Role.

If you have a teaching role at TAMU and are in an approved college/school, please follow these steps below:

1. Contact your unit's Academic Liaison.
2. Put up your request with information on the total number of students who will use the tool.
3. The Academic Liaison will process your request to the LMS Support team. 
4. Once it is approved, you will receive: 
   1. An email from the LMS Support team describing the next steps. 
   2. An invitation email from Poll Everywhere to claim your Presenter Role.
