Overview of Office 365 Cloud Assignments
Office 365 Cloud Assignments is a third-party tool within Canvas Assignments that allows instructors to distribute, review, and grade student work. Instructors can attach assignment files that will automatically distribute a personalized copy for each student. Grades from Office 365 Cloud Assignments will sync with the Canvas gradebook. The integration allows instructors to:
Create documents in Office 365 and submit them as Assignments directly within Office 365 or Canvas.
Office 365 Cloud Assignments have the benefit of being able to grade withing the SpeedGrader. Simply navigate to the assignment and select SpeedGrader on the right sidebar to grade assignments.
Office 365 Cloud assignments cannot be used in the external tool options for group assignments
If the assignment has a rubric, it must be added to the assignment prior to setting up the External Tool submission type. This can be accomplished by creating the assignment with any submission type other than External tool, saving the assignment, adding the rubric, and then editing the assignment to add the Office 365 Cloud Assignment.
