The Digital Learning Environment: Start of Semester Reminders for Success

Welcome to the spring semester at Texas A&M University! Whether you will attend courses on campus or online, we have outlined a few recommendations to help you engage with the digital learning environment this term.

Have a great start to your spring term, Ags!

CONFIRM YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS IN CANVAS

Stay up to date with important messages from your course instructors by confirming your TAMU email address in Canvas - which is <your NetID>@tamu.edu. Visit the Canvas Student Guide for additional information.

CUSTOMIZE YOUR CANVAS DASHBOARD

Follow important course announcements by customizing your notifications in Canvas. Download the Canvas app – available for Android or Apple – for when you need to check announcements on the go! Learn more about managing your Canvas notifications.

ENSURE YOU USE YOUR TAMU GOOGLE ACCOUNT

Make sure that you are logged in to your Texas A&M Google account when using the Google integration in Canvas to ensure that you have access to all course materials.

USING ZOOM FOR YOUR COURSES, OFFICE HOURS, AND OTHER UNIVERSITY ACTIVITIES

When signing into Zoom with either the desktop or mobile app versions, use the Single Sign-On option to access Zoom sessions hosted by Texas A&M. For more information about updating your Zoom account, visit the university’s support page.

LEVERAGE LINKEDIN LEARNING FOR UPSKILLING

All Aggies have unlimited access to LinkedIn Learning, which offers thousands of videos that allow you to gain new skills, learn new hobbies, and even boost your LinkedIn resume.

GET HELP WITH OUR 24/7/365 SUPPORT

Canvas support is offered around the clock. Just click the "Help" button on the left-side navigation within Canvas. You can call, chat, or email your questions directly from Canvas to get the help you need.
