Potential Discrepancy with Your Summer 2025 Grades
Potential Discrepancy with Your Summer 2025 Grades You are receiving this message because you are assigned as an Instructor of Record for a Summer 2025 course that may have a potential grade discrepancy between Canvas and Howdy.
We have created a report feature through ORCA that generates a snapshot of your Canvas gradebook at the time of import into Howdy using the Import Grades to Canvas button. It includes the course name, section, student name, and grade snapshot. Note: If any changes were made to your Canvas gradebook after the import into Howdy, it will not be captured in this report, potentially resulting in a false grade discrepancy flagging. A new Last Import Date column was added July 2025 to help identify when an instructor last imported grades into Howdy.
The report does not assume that the grades are incorrectly reported to Howdy; rather, it indicates that there may be discrepancies between:
- the grade the student views in your course,
- the grade displayed to the instructor in the Canvas gradebook,
- the grade imported to Howdy.
For this reason, you may want to review to ensure that your certified grades are the actual grades intended for each identified student.
You will be able to review the report in ORCA as well as download a CSV version from August 13 (following the final grade submission deadline) until August 22 (the last day of late grading).
Below are resources to help you review the report and make any changes, if needed.
