Summer Course Shells Now Available in Canvas
April 06, 2021
What You Need to Know About Summer Course Shells in Canvas
All Summer 2021 courses are now available in Canvas in an
unpublished state.
The TAMU Canvas template has been updated to include the latest version of the approved
Minimum Syllabus Requirements, including a revision to the COVID Temporary Addendum for Summer 2021.
Once you publish your course, it will be available to students in a
Read Only state until the first day of the term. Courses will remain accessible to students through the
final day of the late grading period (the first Friday after the start of the following semester).
TAMU’s Online Request Course Administration (ORCA) system now allows you to
combine course sections,
add others to your course in any of the five course associate roles (
TA, Lead TA, Grader, Grade Submitter, and Designer), and
confirm the status of training requirements for course associate roles in one convenient platform.
Please note the deadlines for merging course sections listed below.
Summer 1 and
10-Week Term
|
May 24 (11:59 P.M.): Deadline to merge course sections through the self-service feature in ORCA
May 27 (5:00 P.M.): Deadline to request course section merges through aihelp@tamu.edu |
|
|
Summer 2 |
June 28 (11:59 P.M.): Deadline to merge course sections through the self-service feature in ORCA
July 2 (5:00 P.M.): Deadline to request course section merges through aihelp@tamu.edu |
Due to a potential loss of student data, no exceptions will be made for the May 27 and July 2 deadlines.
