To access Zoom meetings generated by Texas A&M University Zoom accounts for your courses, office hours, and other academic activities, please be sure to sign into Zoom using the SSO option.

Spring Courses Available in Learning Management Systems
All Spring 2021 courses have now been loaded in both Canvas and eCampus. Courses in Canvas are unpublished and courses in eCampus are inactive. Per the Provost’s email on June 29th 2020, the expectation is that all course instructors communicate to students in the syllabus which learning management system (LMS) will be used to teach each course. We encourage you to select one LMS to use per course to avoid confusion for your students.

Online Proctoring Solutions at a Glance

The Big Splash is for all course instructors, teaching assistants, and staff who support teaching and learning at Texas A&M University. We have designed the Big Splash to link best practices and innovative technology applications to the Canvas learning environment, yet we also recognize that not everyone has opted into using Canvas yet. Each session is intended to be inclusive of the modes of delivery at Texas A&M University for the Fall 2020 semester and offer insights and ideas to meet you where you are, wherever you are, in preparing.
Multimedia Storage Solutions Available in Learning Management Systems
Canvas course file quotas have been increased from 500MB to 1GB
. In addition, we have two opportunities to help you integrate large files and multimedia assets; and create collaborative spaces to enhance the student experience within your course.

Interim Exam Guidance for eCampus Users 9/30/20 to 10/2/20
Over the past few weeks, Texas A&M University’s instance of Blackboard (eCampus) has been unreliable during peak exam times. The LMS teams have, and will continue, to meet with leadership at Blackboard daily until there is resolution from Blackboard.
eCampus Outage Updates
Over the past week eCampus has encountered performance issues where at times the system is slow or unresponsive. The Learning Management (LMS) administrative team has urged Blackboard to resolve the issue as soon as possible.
Honorlock Online Proctoring Solution Available in Learning Management Systems
Honorlock automated plus live pop-in proctoring
for online exams is now available to all Texas A&M University course instructors via Canvas and eCampus. Honorlock requires the use of a learning management system. As a reminder, all Fall 2020 courses have been provisioned a course in both Canvas and eCampus.
IT ALERT: eCampus system outage
eCampus will be unavailable between 1 a.m. and 3 a.m. Central Time for emergency database maintenance.
Please make note and plan accordingly for the scheduled outage.
The web version of Zoom is experiencing a nationwide outage. Texas A&M University users can still join Zoom meetings using the desktop or mobile app.

Canvas Comes this Summer in "Waves"
Texas A&M University has begun implementation of the new Learning Management System (LMS), Canvas, and we anticipate it being available for piloting for faculty teaching during the second summer session.
